Terms of Use

By accessing or using the doctors.ng platform ("Platform"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Doctors NG Limited. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old and a licensed medical professional in Nigeria to register for a verified account on the Platform.

To access certain features, you must create a user account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information updated.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Any activity occurring under your account is your responsibility. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if any information provided is found to be false, misleading, or in violation of these Terms.

The verification process cross-references your submitted information with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) database. By submitting your credentials, you confirm their accuracy and authorize this verification.

A "Verified" status on your profile indicates that your MDCN registration has been confirmed at the time of verification. It does not constitute an endorsement of your professional abilities, opinions, or services.

You must promptly update your information if your registration status changes, including any suspension, revocation, or expiration of your medical license.

Upon successful verification, you may be granted a @doctors.ng email address. This email is intended for professional use and remains the property of Doctors NG Limited.

You agree not to use the @doctors.ng email for spam, fraud, harassment, or any illegal activities. Misuse may result in immediate suspension of your email and account.

We reserve the right to reclaim or reassign email addresses that are inactive for an extended period (12+ months) or upon account termination.

When participating in community forums and discussions, you agree to maintain professional standards. Sharing patient-identifiable information is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension.

You must not post defamatory, abusive, threatening, or otherwise objectionable content. You must not engage in harassment, discrimination, or bullying of other members.

All medical advice shared on the Platform is for peer discussion only and should not be construed as a doctor-patient relationship. You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of any medical information you share.

All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property on the Platform are owned by or licensed to Doctors NG Limited. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

By posting content on the Platform (forum posts, profile information, etc.), you grant Doctors NG Limited a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the Platform.

You retain ownership of your original content but you acknowledge that public posts may be viewed by other members and visitors to the Platform.

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect, process, and store personal data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and applicable data protection laws.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting our support team.

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Doctors NG Limited makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the availability, reliability, or accuracy of the Platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Doctors NG Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, if any.

You may close your account at any time by contacting our support team. Upon termination, your access to the Platform and associated services, including your @doctors.ng email, will be deactivated.

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if continued use poses a risk to the Platform or other users.

Provisions regarding intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution shall survive the termination of your account.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, in accordance with the Arbitration and Mediation Act.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under any applicable consumer protection legislation.
